Journée d'étude "Résonances. Matières vibrantes, corps sensibles"
As part of Le Mans Sonore
Resonances
"Vibrant materials, sensitive bodies
In response to the eponymous theme of this 4th biennial, this study day will be an opportunity for the general public to explore the notion of resonance through a variety of approaches by artists and researchers at the frontiers of the sound arts, the acoustic sciences, and history and anthropology.
From physical and perceptive phenomena to aesthetic and social aspects, the invited guests will explore how resonance, as a dynamic phenomenon, is part of a reciprocal logic.
Through the affects and transformations it engenders, it reveals what the sociologist Hartmut Rosa describes as "a particular mode of relating to the world or, more precisely, of relating the subject to the world".
With the exceptional participation of American experimental music pioneer Bill Fontana and contributions from :
- Christine Guillebaud (ethnomusicologist and anthropologist, researcher at the CNRS)
- Erick d'Orion, artist and curator (Canada)
- Makis Solomos (musicologist at the University of Paris 8, member of the Arts, ecologies, transitions collective)
- Anne Zeitz (University Professor of Visual Arts, Université Rennes 2)
- Jean-Christophe Valière and Estelle Dupuy (acoustics, sound archaeology and language sciences at the University of Poitiers)
- Jerôme Joy (artist and professor at ENSA Bourges)
The day will close with a live electronic concert by Jérôme Joy at TALM-Le Mans.
