Jazz Tangentes 2026

Jazz Tangentes was born of a conviction: jazz is not a static genre, it's a constantly expanding territory. From its Afro-American roots to today's most avant-garde scenes, it's constantly reinventing itself, absorbing influences from all over the world to better itself.

It's in this spirit that Superforma, the Scène de Musiques Actuelles du Mans, has come up with Jazz Tangentes, in partnership with the Collectif 3h10, and with the support of the City of Le Mans and the Department of Sarthe: an event conceived as a celebration of jazz today, in all its diversity of forms and geographies. It's not just a series of concerts, but an invitation to listen, question and travel.

From 27 to 31 May, Le Mans will be transformed over the course of a long weekend into a place for listening and discovery, with club concerts, a musical trail through the city's bars, a musical stroll through the heart of the Abbaye de l'Épau, film screenings and conferences. Jazz Tangentes is jazz that breaks out of the box and reaches out to all audiences, in all venues.
