Isma and Bookie Blanco converse on stage as they do in life. They create a sensitive, supertonic dialogue between hip-hop dance and beatbox, expressing themselves with all their heart and all their body, and with great complicity. Despite their young age, the two members of the duo Jeunes Princes excel in their art. One is a dancer, performer and mediator with a number of companies (Rêvolution, Kaminari, K'rrousel, etc.), while the other is French beatbox champion in 2022.
Candide is the story of this face-off, an artistic duel in which we size each other up, tame each other, challenge each other and, above all, have fun! We marvel at each other's artistic material and recognise the points of connection: explosive rhythm, expressive bodies, explosive energy!
The artists tackle situations that echo this encounter and their own journey: the way others look at them, the ridicule, the frustration, but above all the lightness of simple shared joys.
