The University Big Band presents its repertoire for the year!

Throughout the season, the university Big-Band has been working on a repertoire that gives pride of place to vocal jazz.

Things are going badly, and yet...
The crisis is here, but people want to have fun and get away from their worries... In response to popular demand in the 30s, jazz was transformed: the blues, expressing the pain of a people (that of the African-Americans), was replaced by a repertoire essentially made up of songs, often taken from Broadway musicals, many of which would become standards still played today...

If you see an obvious link with the times we live in, come and enjoy swinging with the university big-band and the jazz standards sung in the 30s and 40s.
