L’art du vitrail manceau : La Cathédrale de la Renaissance au XXème siècle

During the Renaissance, the Valois kings and queens donated splendid stained glass windows to the cathedral. The art of stained glass faded in the centuries that followed, only to be revived in the 19th century, at the same time as interest in the Middle Ages. Le Mans once again became one of France's and Europe's creative centres for the art of stained glass.
