Au cœur de l'Amazonie avec les Indiens Yanomami - Rencontre avec Anne Ballester

In the heart of Amazonia with the Yanomami Indians - Meeting with Anne Ballester

"The colonisation process swept away the banks of the Rio Negro and some of its tributaries (Rio Içana, rio Vaupés, Rio Tiquié...) at the beginning of the 20th century.
These peoples lived close to the rivers, which increased their vulnerability to the voracious appetites of the surrounding society.
The Yanomami, who lived deep in the forest, were spared this process for a long time. Anne Ballester

Anne Ballester, a long-standing friend of the Yanomami, the indigenous people of Amazonia, will be our guest. She will be talking to us about her unique journey and the political situation in Amazonia.
