This summer, immerse yourself in the filmography of Pedro Almodóvar, a leading contemporary filmmaker, through 10 of his films.

The work of Pedro Almodóvar (born in 1949) spans the ages and evolves over time, whilst remaining unique in its approach to fiction and its forms. He always embodies renewal: we expect Pedro Almodóvar to surprise us, shake us up, seduce us, move us and transport us into his world apart.
His filmography explores the full complexity of the human soul: drives, darkness, obsession, madness and death rub shoulders with humour, earthiness and joy in his daring, often ambivalent, gentle and melancholic cinema, which he himself describes as visceral.
His films are also showcases for magnificent female characters, brought to life by actresses who have become the icons of his cinema: Carmen Maura, Marisa Paredes, Rossy de Palma, Victoria Abril, Penélope Cruz, Tilda Swinton…
