Griff et les Fabuloptères

A musical and visual adventure combining singing, accordion, keyboard and live shadow projections and drawings, accompanied by the voice of Léa Lachat and the visual artistry of Jeanne Maigne.

Griff, the charming, singing, nosy and smooth-talking cat, would very much like to take a peek into the mysterious underground world of insects. Beneath his paws, the Fabuloptera are gesticulating and dancing at a wild, boisterous party to which he is never invited. Yet he, too, wishes to join in the festivities and accompany Mr Grasshopper and Mrs Beetle in their fiery tango. As partners in this extraordinary musical and visual adventure, the audience are in for a string of surprises: as the gentle notes of the accordion and keyboard unfold and Léa Lachat’s voice—spoken or sung—resounds, images and shadows appear as if by magic on a screen. Puppeteer Jeanne Maigne displays a wonderful array of drawings and ingenious visual techniques, captured live by a camera positioned on the drawing table, like Griff’s mischievous eye upon the fantastical world of the Fabuloptères…
