In the heart of Le Mans Old Town, I invite you to discover the art of linocut, a traditional printing technique. Combining drawing, engraving and printing, I’ll guide you through the process step by step, and you’ll leave with your own unique prints.

Workshop programme:

• Welcome and overview of the key stages of the workshop

• Designing your artwork

• Carving your plate

• Inking and printing

At the end of this workshop, you’ll leave with your printed copies, ready to be framed!



The workshop includes:

• Guidance and advice on linocut printing and choosing materials

• All the materials needed for the workshop (gouges, inks, linoleum, paper, etc.)

• Each participant will take home one print and their engraved plate

• 1 local drink and 1 local pastry (La Mare Organic Herbal Teas (72210), Café BOC (Le Mans), Le Chaudon de Salem Pastries (Le Mans)

• A summary sheet outlining all the steps and the materials used



To prepare for your linocut workshop:

You can create your drawing or design in advance; it must fit within a 15 x 15 cm format. Please feel free to send me the drawing if you have any doubts about whether it is feasible

Remember to bring a rigid folder and a smock if possible
