As part of *Faites Lire!*
*Our Odyssey?* A sonic immersion, a human and maritime adventure in quadraphonic sound. Telemachus, son of King Odysseus, is a young teenager. One question haunts him: what is the point of having a father if he is absent? Is his father – that hero whose story everyone knows but whom he has never seen – still a father? And his mother? What has become of her? This Odyssey is that of Telemachus – no longer quite a child, not yet an adult – and his quest to understand and mend his family’s history so that he may grow up. On stage, a small boat… as if washed ashore… on the sand… silhouettes made of driftwood… and all around… the voices of the Odyssey… A performance to listen to and imagine.
