The 8th edition of the Social Film Festival, organised by the association La 25ème image, is being held for the first time in Le Mans, in partnership with the CPAM, the CAF and the City of Le Mans.
The festival, which is taking place in 43 towns and cities across France this year, aims to use genuine cinema films – both fiction and documentary – to highlight the real-life situations faced by people experiencing social hardship. The life journeys of migrant children, disability, children at risk, the realities of social work and mental health are just some of the themes explored in the three films (two short films and one medium-length film) selected for the screening on 8 October.

The screening will begin with two short films: *La petite école* by Alice Voisin (0h21) and *Sacré fils* by Rouben Manika (0h21), followed by the feature-length film *L’intérêt d’Adam* by Laura Wandel. The screening will be followed by a discussion and Q&A with the audience.
