Son Odyssée

Josy, aged 55, is a sailor’s wife. For years, she has watched her husband set sail with the tides, and each time she waits patiently for his return. Her days are filled with her work as a seamstress, her role as a mother and her brief exchanges with her husband over the VHF radio.

Women play a central role in *The Odyssey* and are indispensable. Who are they?

Josy, aged 55, is a sailor’s wife. For years, she has watched her husband set sail with the tides, and each time she waits patiently for his return. Her days are structured around her work as a seamstress, her life as a mother and her brief exchanges with her husband over the VHF radio.
One day, whilst listening to a radio programme about Homer’s Odyssey, her reality is turned on its head and she finds herself in a farcical world. Little by little, she weaves the threads of her imagination and questions the place of women in this epic.
