Echoing the exhibition “Painting Light: Stained Glass in the Sarthe” at the Jean-Claude-Boulard – Carré Plantagenêt Museum, pianist Guillaume Fournier explores the links between music and stained glass. How can the interplay of light, colour and transparency be translated into music? What parallels can be drawn between the craft of the master glassmaker and that of the musician? This musical talk offers a two-way dialogue between a pianist and a cultural mediator, blending spoken commentary with musical excerpts, to provide a sensitive and fresh perspective on the works on display.
